Once connected, the Waffl AI Slack integration works quietly in the background:
When someone @mentions you in a channel or sends you a direct message, Waffl AI captures the message and its surrounding context.
Waffl AI reads the conversation context to determine if the message contains an actionable request, a question you need to answer, or a commitment you need to follow up on.
Actionable messages become tasks in your Waffl task list, complete with a title and context from the conversation. Tasks are ranked alongside your other priorities.
Slack tasks appear alongside tasks from your email, calendar, and other connected tools — all ranked by urgency, importance, and effort.
Connecting Slack to Waffl AI takes just a few steps:
Download the Waffl AI app from the App Store and create your account.
Open the Connections page in the app and tap "Connect" next to Slack. You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize Waffl AI to access your workspace.
Review the permissions Waffl AI is requesting and approve the connection. You'll be redirected back to the app with a confirmation that the connection was successful.
That's it. Waffl AI will begin monitoring your Slack mentions and direct messages. Actionable items will appear in your task list automatically.
We take your privacy seriously. Here's how Waffl AI handles your Slack data:
Waffl AI accesses messages in channels you're part of and direct messages — only when they're relevant to surfacing actionable tasks for you. We use recent message context to help our AI understand what's being asked.
We never sell your data. We never use your messages to train public AI models. We don't store your entire message history — context is retained temporarily and automatically deleted.
You can disconnect Slack from Waffl AI at any time from the Connections page in the app. When you disconnect, your Slack tokens are revoked and all associated data is deleted.
